Good care, at home, from people you will come to know.
Companionship, personal care and dementia care for older adults in Raleigh and Wake County. The same caregiver each visit, a plan your family builds with us, and a phone that is always answered.
What a week of care can look like
Three common starting points. Every plan is adjusted after a free visit to the home; these are example prices.
A few visits a week
- Two or three afternoon visits
- Conversation, a walk, a game of cards
- Light meals and a tidy kitchen
- A ride to the hairdresser or the doctor
Help every weekday
- Mornings, five days a week
- Bathing, dressing and medication reminders
- Breakfast and lunch, laundry
- Notes for the family after every visit
Someone there all day
- Full weekdays, the same two caregivers
- Dementia-trained, calm routines
- Meals, safety at home, gentle activity
- A weekly call with the family

How a caregiver joins Hearthside
Applicants we hire
Two interviews, a background check, references we actually call, and a working day with a senior caregiver.
Training before the first visit
Safe moving, personal care, dementia communication, first aid and the habits of a good guest in someone's home.
The same caregiver, every time
We match on personality and schedule, and introduce a second caregiver only so there is cover for holidays.
A visit from the care coordinator
To sit with you, check the plan still fits, and adjust hours up or down without fuss.
Marisol has been coming on Tuesdays and Fridays for two years now. Mom calls them her Marisol days. That tells you everything.Denise R., daughter of a client in North Hills. Shared with permission.
Where we work
Raleigh, Cary, Wake Forest, Garner and the rest of Wake County. Our office is on Glenwood Avenue, but the work happens in your home.
Talk to a person
A care coordinator answers day and night. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm.
Paying for care
Private pay by the hour, invoiced every two weeks. We help families with long-term care insurance claims and can explain which state programs may apply.
